Horseshoe Canyon Badland Basin Viewpoint

 

This file shows the damage that has been

done by people while climbing up to a popular viewpoint.

 

From the south viewpoint, you see this view of the badland basin. The west leg is in the background.

From the south viewpoint, with the help of a zoom lens, you can see
the damaged viewpoint hill where I took the 370 degreee panoramic photos.

This photo looks up towards the top of the cone
shapped formation. You can see how the loosened
dirt has piled up into a ridge at the bottom.

As you look down from the top, you can see
how the badland formation has been
worn away by people climbing up.
